Description du produit

POLYETHYLENE STRUCTURED PIPES AND FITTINGS, TWINGAM

New, very demanding conditions of construction of water supply, sewage, gas and telecommunications networks resulted in very strong development of the polyethylene (PE) material towards the improvement of its properties, in particular the resistance to crack propagation, which in turn resulted in the development of new types of pipes that provide appropriate levels of protection and long-term durability and service life. New types of raw material and new structures of PE pipes, meet the current needs of the market and contributed to the introduction of more economical technologies of laying pipes. TWINGAM pipes can be laid in solid ground without sand bedding and side-fi lling and using trenchless technologies.Polyethylene TWINGAM pipes can be made as a single layer pipe, where the wall is made entirely from the PE100RC raw material or alternatively a dual-layer pipe, where the plastic layers are molecularly connected (welded during the production process). TWINGAM pipes are made from raw material of PE100RC grade with increased strength parameters. PE100RC raw material is a material with high resistance to crack propagation and point loads.

TWINGAM polyethylene pipes for water supply and sewerage can be made in three different versions depending on their layers:

  • Single-layer pipes made entirely of PE100RC polyethylene with nominal diameters DN ranging from 25 to 75 mm, dark blue;
  • Dual-layer pipes with the inner layer of black PE100 polyethylene and the outer layer of dark blue PE100RC polyethylene with nominal diameters DN ranging from 25 to 630 mm;
  • Dual-layer pipes with the inner layer of black PE100RC polyethylene and then outer layer also made of dark blue PE100RC polyethylene with nominal diameters DN ranging from 25 to 630 mm.

PE100RC multi-layer pipes:

  • Cost-effective laying in trenches without sand bedding;
  • Much higher resistance to point loading, scratches and notches, and the resulting high resistance to crack propagation;
  • Used in trenchless technologies without the risk of damaging the pipe;
  • Shorter implementation period of the investment.

Circumstances that could cause the phenomenon of propagation of cracks in PE pipes:

  1. Scratches or cuts of the outer pipe surface originated prior to the installation (improper storage, transport) 1. or when laying pipes. (General rule – a pipe with the damage of its outer surface, which depth is higher than 10% of the wall thickness shall not be used for safety reasons).
  2. “Point loading” – direct contact of a hard (sharp) element (for example, a stone) with the outer surface of the pipe, which is the cause of additional stresses generated in the pipe wall. With the passage of time, there is initiated a crack, on the opposite side of the pipe wall, due to the formation of stresses from the internal pressure and stresses from the element, which propagates with the progress of time.

TWINGAM pipes are designed for the construction of pressure, vacuum and gravity water supply and sewerage systems, and the usage as protective pipes. A network of TWINGAM pipes and fi ttings can be laid in the native soil without using bedding and side-filling, using traditional methods and narrow trenching. TWINGAM pipes can also be used for the construction and renovation with trenchless methods.
