HUMAN-CENTERED APPROACH
PeopleScout, a leading recruitment process outsourcing company, is opening its first European hub in Kraków – one of the most rapidly developing cities in Poland. The city is a hotbed for talent, therefore magnet companies like PeopleScout can pick and choose newly-minted specialists among those that graduate from over 20 institutions of higher education every year. Located in Orange Office Park, the head office has been designed first and foremost with the needs and comfort of the personnel in mind, as employees are considered the company’s most valued assets. The Interior design is the work of architects Konrad Krusiewicz and Emilia Wójcicka from The Design Group, whereas the furnishings have been selected and supplied by Kinnarps. „The two primary values in our company are innovation and quality. That is why we were resolved to work with top interior designers, qualified to deliver modern solutions,” said Michał Dranka, Global Support Team Director at PeopleScout. „Kinnarps has also lent us its considerable consulting expertise, advising us a great deal on how the right office design can maximize productivity and creativity of employees,” Dranka further explained.
FEELING AT HOME
PeopleScout’s Kraków hub has been designed in line with the latest trends in office space planning. „We wanted the office itself to provide value, instead of being merely another workplace. The Design Group and Kinnarps have delivered a setup that enhances comfort, well-being and, in turn, efficiency of the workforce,” extols Michał Dranka. The Kraków hub is 600 sqm of state-of-the-art space designed for work but also for relaxation. The open space, aside from 70 typical workstations, includes cosy sofas and armchairs ideally suited for less formal meetings. Unconventional mixture of textures, fabrics and carpets make up an engaging and refreshing fit-out. Grey linings and swivel chairs blend nicely with oak brown tables, white furniture frames and brick wall panels. The green and grey upholstery of the lounge chairs adds a measure of sophistication to the setting. Another section, 80 sqm in area, in grey, green and navy blue hues, has been arranged in a somewhat less formal manner. There is a large wooden table with bar stools – an excellent place to talk shop or to just kick back and have a friendly chat. Cushy sofas, easy chairs and poufs complete the warm, tranquil ambiance. At the heart of any home is the kitchen and this office is no exception. The centre area of 70 sqm includes a kitchen and a chillout zone as the meeting spot for the staff. A long wooden table is set in the prominent location, ringed by comfortable sofas, poufs and desk tables. The employees can also use two conference rooms in a white colour scheme. „It is easily one of the most appealing and extraordinary interior designs currently in Kraków, exhibiting a unique approach to office space planning. The work space is seamlessly integrated with leisure space, fostering concentration and creativity, as well as allowing for diversion,” commented Małgorzata Wala, Key Account Manager at Kinnarps working on the project.
AGILE WORKING
The new office of PeopleScout perfectly illustrates contemporary market trends and incorporates agile working solutions. „We are providing our workforce with as much freedom and flexibility as possible, including the option of working from home. Creating agile work environments is in keeping with our company’s development plans,” concludes Dranka.
