Product description
Description
Recommended for fixing tiles exposed to extremely difficult usage conditions – caused by non-standard deformation of the substrate and adverse weather conditions.
Ideal for tiles exposed to deformation – due to its high flexibility, it perfectly absorbs strain:
• caused by temperature - on balconies, terraces, façades, floor and wall heating systems,
• mechanical – on wooden floors, plasterboard, plasterboards, on flexible watertight insulation foil systems
Enables fixing tiles on difficult substrates – like: OSB panels, terrazzo, "tile on tile", as well as strongly adhered paint coatings (e.g. oil paint dado), bitumen (after parquets) and adhesives (after PVC tiles), etc.
The main characteristics
• reduced dusting , plasticized formula
• high plasticity, adhesiveness and deformability S1
• for difficult substrates – OSB panels, plasterboards, existing tiles
• for terraces, balconies and façades
• for floor and wall heating systems
The main parameters
• consumption: ca. 1.5 kg of dry mix / 1 m² / 1 mm adhesive layer
• deformability S1
• bed thickness: 2 - 10 mm
• high adhesion: ≥ 1 N/mm²
Series description
Classification of adhesives for tiles
Adhesives for tiles are classified and marked according to PN-EN 12004 Standard
The Standard specifies three types of adhesives:
C – cement based adhesives
D – dispersion adhesives
R – adhesives based on reactive resins
Each of the above types of adhesives can appear in different forms (classes) corresponding to additional requirements:
1 – standard setting adhesives – adhesion after 28 days ≥ 0.5 N/mm2
2 – adhesives of improved parameters – increased adhesion, after 28 days ≥ 1.0 N/mm2
F – fast setting adhesives – adhesion ≥ 0.5 N/mm2, measured after time not exceeding 6 hours
T – adhesives with reduced slip – slip not exceeding 0.5 mm
E – adhesives with extended open time – adhesion after 28 days ≥ 0.5 N/mm2, despite the fact the time between the application of the adhesive and placing a tile is not shorter than 30 minutes.
Adhesive selection
Before fixing ceramic tiling or natural stone, please pay attention to a few elements significant for the proper selection of the adhesive.
These are:
- substrate – the material it is made of, its absorptive power, roughness, adhesiveness, cleanliness, maturing degree and possible deflection
- tiles – their kind (gres-porcelain, terracotta, glazed tiles, stone), size (mosaic, large size), absorptive power and resistance to discolouration
- conditions of use of the tiling – the atmospheric influence (indoor, outdoor), situation (wall or floor), kind and volume of usable load (pedestrian or vehicle traffic), frequency and the volume of temperature changes.
